Information Technology & Computing

Touch typing is an important skill to learn.  Here is a link to the BBC site which has a great touch typing programme

Computing is taught throughout the school and the children really enjoy having the opportunity to use our designated IT room where they learn about programming and can use our 3D printer.

Across many other areas of the curriculum, children use IT to support their learning.  In Early Years, children have access to Learn Pads and throughout the rest of the school they can use chrome books in the class.  The children use these to support their learning of spellings, times tables and grammar.  They also research and present their work using Google Drive.

Below are copies of our Acceptable Users Policy.  We ask that every child understands the content of this policy.

The Internet is a fantastic resource to support us in our learning.  Keeping safe whilst using the Internet is very important.  Have a look at the links on your child's Key Stage page for more information about keeping safe.
