Dear Parents and Carers
Ofsted Inspection - March 2013
I am pleased to be able to share with you the report from our recent Ofsted Inspection which has graded the effectiveness of the school as GOOD overall. Leadership and management, which covers many areas of school life, from the governing body and senior leadership team to year and subject leaders has been graded outstanding; with achievement of pupils, quality of teaching and behaviour and safety of pupils all being graded as good.
It is a report that accurately captures where we are as a school, recognising the many improvements and changes that have taken place over the past few years. I am particularly pleased that the inspectors recognised all the hard work staff have put into developing a “rich and varied curriculum” which has resulted in pupils achieving “consistently above the national average”.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and volunteers who have taken the school on this exciting journey and I look forward to the coming months and years as we further develop our wonderful school, especially as we move into all our new facilities in September.
The report recognises how special our pupils are, particularly with regards to the excellent way they play “harmoniously together” and in celebrating their excellent achievements. I would like to thank the children for their commitment to the school and to all the parents and carers for their continued support.
A copy of the Ofsted report is attached below. Should you wish a printed copy of the report please ask at the school reception from Monday 29th April.
Yours sincerely
Martin Garratt
